We will serve nearly 600,000 meals this year.
Serving fresh and healthy meals addresses one of the most dire issues low-income seniors face: hunger and food insecurity.
Our healthy meals provide a third of the daily requirements needed for older adults. Food service staff develops nutritious and satisfying meals that accommodate various dietary restrictions including low sodium and low fat.
- A hot meal is the number one reason people seek our assistance.
- We provide breakfast and lunch 7 days a week at the Gary and Mary West Senior Wellness Center and 5 days a week at 9 congregate dining sites.
- Nearly 240,000 meals per year are delivered to home bound seniors.
- We ask for a nominal donation for meals but no one will be sent away if unable to pay.
If you are a senior age 60 and up or you have a loved one that would like more information about our meals program, please call (619) 235-6572.
