Update: October 9 Governor Brown signs AB 138, The Elder Economic Planning Act of 2011 into law.
Over two days in July 250 seniors addressed the shortcomings of the current measurement of poverty. These seniors contributed their stories to show support for Assembly Bill 138, The Elder Economic Planning Act . We hand-delivered these letters to Senator Kehoe. In August, the Senator voted to move the bill to the floor.
