Homes
Lack of affordable housing has the greatest negative impact on the quality of life for many low-income seniors in San Diego.
Struggling to make ends meet and barely able to afford rent, food and medications, these seniors are at risk of homelessness
and too often begin the downward spiral from independence to institutionalization.
Senior Community Centers helps seniors find affordable housing and access the supportive services they need to remain independent
for as long as possible. We operate two affordable, supportive housing facilities - City Heights Square and Potiker Family Senior Residence, which has been recognized by the
Corporation for Supportive Housing and the Shelter Partnership as a best practice and national model. We also give homeless
seniors a new lease on life by helping them get off the street and into stable housing through our Transitional Housing
program.
If you or someone you know is looking for affordable housing, please call Hyder Property Management at 619-237-8004.
